China Glaze Road Trip Collection, Part 2: Destination Unknown

Earlier this week, I showed you guys swatches of the first half of the China Glaze Road Trip Collection, and today I've got the second half to share with you - this set is called Destination Unknown, and it consists of six more bright colors. These ones actually scream summer to me, but you can definitely rock them in the spring too.

Like the last half of the collection, this set of six contains a mix of jelly like finishes, creme finishes, and one shade with a rosegold shimmer. All of the formulas were easy to work with, and they all had a lovely glossy finish. Let's take a closer look:

More To Explore is the standout of this half of the collection - it's a neon pastel peach creme, somewhat similar to Pack Lightly but definitely brighter. Even though it has that neon tinge to it, the formula was so easy to work with and it dried to a very glossy finish. Shown above is three easy coats with top coat.

Pop the Trunk is a glossy orange-red creme. This is definitely a great summer color! It has a jelly-like feel to it, but it's completely opaque in two coats. Shown above is two coats with top coat.

Sun's Up, Top Down is a super bright yellow with a rosegold shimmer. This shade is very warm - it almost has a golden tone, and the shimmer adds a very unique touch to it! Shown above is three thin coats with top coat.

Trip Of A Lime Time is a gorgeous chartreuse creme. This is definitely one of those hit-or-miss colors, and it's definitely a hit for me! I don't usually go for shades like this, but the creamy finish is just wonderful. I imagine this is perfect for using in nail art. Shown above is three coats with top coat.

My Way Or the Highway is a teal creme with a jelly-like finish. Like the orangey red in this collection, this one seems a bit sheer with application but it's totally opaque in just two coats! I think all these jelly-like shades are going to be great for making gradients. Shown above is two coats with top coat.

And finally, we have License & Registration Pls, which is a true blue creme with a jelly-like finish. Same formula as the teal! This is just an all-around great color to keep in your collection - I can see myself using it for a lot of nail art. Shown above is two coats with top coat.

Overall, I really enjoy this collection! I definitely think the Road Trip Ready shades are more springy, whereas most of these have a definite summery vibe for me, but it's never too early for bright polishes, right? My top picks are More to Explore and Trip Of A Lime Time.

These polishes are currently available at Live Love Polish for $7.50 USD each, and you can use the code INEEDMORENAILPOLISH at checkout for 10% off your ENTIRE order!

How do you feel about this collection? Which is your favorite?

  11. I came across your blog from another blog post and I love it! Your writing style is very easy and your swatches are amazing! I also read your post on tips on how to become a better nail blogger. What a helpful post! thank you so much for that! I have been blogging for about 6 months and your tips were very helpful. I was thinking about doing a giveaway on IG, but now I am really going to think about it. I wouldn't want a bunch of new followers to then have them unfollow me. Thanks again for the tips! I am dying for this collection by China Glaze! It's gorgeous!!!
