Live Love Polish Online Shop: UNT Review And Nail Art

Hello guys! I'm super excited about today's review, coming to you from Live Love Polish, a brand new online nail polish retailer. For those of you who know the emerging social media site Nailpolis, you might have heard about this shop (since they are the ones behind it!) Anyway, Live Love Polish has a super unique selection of polish brands (and some that normally aren't easily available in the USA!), including China Glaze, Models Own, LVX, NCLA, and more, including today's featured brand, UNT.

UNT is a popular brand in France and Japan - this is my first time trying their polishes, and I got two to play with! Both of them have easy formulas and feature a wide, flat brush to make application a breeze. Let's take a look at swatches (and some simple nail art!), and then I can give you guys some more information about this new online retailer. (And, I might even share a discount code with you!)

Breakup Blues is a soft pastel blue packed with a golden irridescent shimmer. This one reminds me of that popular Sinful Colors polish Cinderella, but I've never been able to get my hands on it, so I can only compare it to photos! Either way, the polish is super pretty and the barely-there shimmer adds a lovely delicate touch. The formula on this one was slightly thick, but easy to apply. Shown above is three coats plus top coat.

Illusion is a gorgeous creamy warm-toned purple. I instantly fell in love with this one!! Application was ridiculously easy with this polish; it applied like butter. I don't know how the other creams of this brand go, but if they're all as incredible as this formula, I think I need them all! Not to mention, the color is so pretty. I have been on a purple kick lately and this polish fits in perfectly with my mood. Shown above is two easy coats plus top coat, but the polish was so glossy on it's own that I really didn't need top coat!

I couldn't bear to take this color off right away, so I did some easy nail art with it:

I wanted to recreate this gorgeous manicure, so create this look, I used my base of UNT Illusion and then dripped some watered-down acrylic paint in various shades of blue. It dried all wispy and smoky, which I loved.

I know this style of nail art is by nature a bit sloppy, but I think I can definitely master this watercolor style with more practice!

Anyway, let's talk more about Live Love Polish. They have super fast shipping (my polishes arrived in just two days!) and it's free to ship if you spend over $20 USD (which is ridiculously easy to do when you're buying nail polish, haha!) They also ship internationally, for a flat rate of only $5 USD, and if you spend over $50, you get your polishes shipped for free. Crazy deal, right?!

The polishes sold at Live Love Polish vary in price, but these UNT polishes retail for $8 USD each, and you can purchase them here.

AND!! The ladies over at Live Love Polish have generously offered my readers a coupon as well! For 10% off your order (valid from today to Sept 24th), use the discount code CHALLENGEACCEPTED at checkout. (I have to admit, I totally cracked up at that discount code!)

What do you think of this nail art look? And what do you think of this new retailer?

These polishes were provided for my honest review.

  1. I always like it when shimmer is super subtle, so Breakup Blues is a winner for me!

  2. Agreed! It just has enough to be like a sparkly little secret, LOL!

  3. I've never tried this watercolor look before.. I definitely like it. ;D
