OPI Skyfall Collection: On Her Majesty's Secret Service

Today I have a swatch from the OPI Skyfall collection. I only picked up a few colors from this collection, but my favorite is definitely On Her Majesty's Secret Service, an opaque glitter with hints of green, blue, and silver.

Here is three coats with top coat. It looks gritty but even without topcoat, it is very glossy and smooth.

Look at the flecks in this polish. Blue, silver, green, and is that gold? Pink?! I am so impressed with this color. It caught my eye in the bottle and it impresses on the nails.

What do you guys think of this color?

Julep November Box - Suedes!

Happy holidays, everyone! I finally went home for Thanksgiving and picked up my Julep maven box. This month is all about matte suedes, and I got the It Girl box, so mine came with Minka and Brit.

Minka is a copper matte suede with a silver shimmer. This is two coats, no top coat.

The color looks great! Almost a brownish, if it weren't for the silver shimmer.

Here's a macro shot of that color.

Next we have Brit, a gunmetal silver with a matte suede finish.

I love this color also - but it's nothing I haven't seen before.

Here's a macro of Brit. Love how it looks gritty but feels super smooth.

This month's box also came with body frosting that smelled delicious -

Did you guys get this month's box? What do you think?

China Glaze Blue Bells Ring Swatch/Review

Today I bought a couple more holiday polishes, including China Glaze Blue Bells Ring, a shimmery blue. It really is stunning on the nails but I'm not a huge fan of the formula. Application was a bit gummy and thick - but it mostly evened out with a think coat of Seche Vite.

What do you guys think?
Definitely worth the application trouble in my opinion!

My First Winter Manicure of the Year!

Today's manicure was inspired by the wintery weather outside! I bought a couple bottles from the China Glaze Holiday Collection - including Glistening Snow.

I am so in love with this color! It is definitely a top coat eater - this is three coats with 2 coats of top coat and it's still pretty grainy, but I like the effect.

It really does look snowy - the best part is in direct light when it looks like this:

Look at all that holographic goodness! Totally in love.

I decided to make a big glitter manicure so I added Finger Paints Sparkle Top Coat and this pretty Confetti glitter that I found (with no name!)

Still not the best at glitter gradients but I think it's festive!

This manicure isn't too great but I figured I'd post it anyway -

Flower Nails With OPI Skyfall Collection

What a misleading title ;) I used OPI On Her Majesty's Secret Service as accents for my manicure, but the rest of the colors are from different brands.

Anyway! Today's nails were slightly inspired by One Nail To Rule Them All's flower and bead manicure, but I think mine have a different effect because I don't have the beads.

Wow, look at that bottle! What a stunner. I have yet to actually paint my nails with the new color, and it's my favorite from the Skyfall collection.

Well anyway, here is a clearer photo -

Base: Essie Bobbing For Baubles
White: Sinful Colors Snow Me White
Detail (Glitter): OPI On Her Majesty's Secret Service

I love the way this looks. I feel like it almost looks like those fake nail stickers!

Blue Leopard Print Manicure

Today's manicure was supposed to be water color nails, but it is impossibly hard to do! So I decided to go with a leopard print manicure. But I already had OPI Skull and Glossbones as a base, so I went with funky colors!

The spots are China Glaze For Audrey, and the outline was Bobbing For Baubles.

I love off-color leopard print manicures! I think this turned out better than my first time, but I still could use some improvement ;) I used a dotting tool for the details.
