I guess despite the bright colors, my dry skin is going to give away the fact that is most certainly not summer here in New Jersey, haha! Anyway, I started with a base of KBShimmer Eyes White Open and dotted on five China Glaze shades: Bottoms Up, Lotus Begin, What A Pansy, Too Yacht to Handle, and Grass is Lime Greener. I topped everything off with matte top coat.
Even though most of these polishes are from totally different collections, they matched so well together! Some of these shades are REALLY old (I definitely dusted off my bottles of Bottoms Up and Too Yacht to Handle for this manicure!) but totally classic and I couldn't resist pairing them.
I think the hardest part of making these was getting that rainbow arc like Ida did. Maybe next time I will just go for straight lines! I do definitely want to do a manicure with these colors again though.
Here are the shades I used for this manicure. The two older shades were purchased at local retailers, but the rest were from HB Beauty Bar. (Remember, you can use the code POLISHCHALLENGE for 15% off all polishes!)
Well, I'd love to know what you guys think of this look - did I NAIL it? (Get it?! Okay, I'm not funny.) What's your opinion on rocking summer colors off-season?
