Spring Grunge Brushstroke Nail Art With Rhinestones

- SOME PRODUCTS PROVIDED FOR REVIEW -

Hey guys! I am so in love with these summer collections (even though the weather has turned a bit cooler this week...) so I decided to have some fun using the new China Glaze Electric Nights Collection from HB Beauty Bar by creating some brushstroke nail art.

I started off with a base of KBShimmer Eyes White Open on my first two nails, and China Glaze UV Meant to Be and China Glaze Plur-ple on my other nails. I took those same polishes to create a grungy brushstroke effect on my white nails, and added some studs from Born Pretty Store. I topped everything off with matte top coat.

Check out this quick tutorial for how I created this look.

I actually love how these brushstroke nails turned out - they almost have a watercolor splatter effect to me! And I think the iridescence of the rhinestones match the color scheme perfectly.

I think the best part of summer is having super bright, fun manicures - don't you? I have plenty of new nail art to show you using my new summer collections! (And plenty of swatches, too - this collection will be swatched soon!)

Just because I though the rhinestones were so pretty and reflective, here's a shot of them. You can purchase this set here!

Here are the polishes I used!

What do you think of this look? Have you tried any shades from the Electric Nights Collection yet?

  4. In love with the matte finish, hun! And your brush stroke does looks 'wet', I wouldn't say like 'watercolor splatter', more like the polishes were somehow diluted rather (does that make sense?) - love it!

  11. This color combo looks so dreamy and I love the addition of studs and how the have to purple and blue iridescent to them (kinda matching the polishes) :) I love simple designs like this! I think I have to try the brushstroke again.
