Cirque Metropolis March 2015 Swatches and Nail Art

Hello guys! It's another snowy day here in New Jersey, and I've got the day off from work - so it's a great time to catch up on blogging. Today I've got the latest Metropolis shades to show you from Cirque Colors, as well as an easy nail art look using them!

As you may remember, the Cirque Metropolis collection is an ongoing collection with new releases every month. This month's colors are two gorgeous shades of blue, and when Cirque posted an adorable blobbicure on their Facebook page featuring both shades, I just knew I had to recreate it:

To achieve this look, I started off with a base of Cirque Lady Liberty on all my nails. While my base color was still wet, I dabbed on Cirque Hudson, which spread into these awesome blobs! I topped everything off with top coat.

I created a super easy tutorial for this look on YouTube.

And of course, here are the gorgeous new releases:

Lady Liberty is a gorgeous turquoise creme. The formula was so nice, and this color is great for spring and summer. Shown above is two easy coats, no top coat.

Hudson is a slightly dusty royal blue creme. Another gorgeous shade - I wore this one out already and got a ton of compliments! It is a tad dustier than my photo shows. Shown above is two easy coats, again without top coat - both of these had a great shine on their own!

I absolutely love the way this blobbicure turned out. It was pretty easy, but the most difficult part was getting my base color thick enough to stay wet while I was dabbing on the blobs so they would spread nicely. It almost looks like a crocodile skin effect to me!

I was also surprised that this manicure didn't feel thick at all on my nails! I expected it to be thick and lumpy and slow drying, but the polishes actually leveled themselves out so nicely and dried pretty quickly. Even without top coat they looked nice, but I added Cirque Liquid Laminate™ Top Coat to make it last!

Both of these colors are lovely additions to my collection, and I think they will be very nice to wear in warmer weather. You can purchase shades from the Metropolis collection on Cirque's online shop for $13 USD each. Make sure you follow them on Facebook for news and updates!

  8. I can see how the blobbicure would be a challenge (haha, get it!?) to recreate. You did a fantastic job though, I love how it turned out.
