HB Beauty Bar: China Glaze City Flourish Swatches Part 2, Pollen in Love

So I finally have the second half of the new China Glaze City Flourish collection from HB Beauty Bar to show you all! You might remember my review of the first half of the collection (here), filled with gorgeous soft pastel colors. Well, this half of the collection consists of six colors that are much brighter and bolder - perfect for warm weather! Read on to hear my thoughts.

At first glance, these colors definitely have a different feel to them than the first half of the collection. But I love them all! Let's get started:

What A Pansy is a jelly-like cool toned purple with an incredible formula. I didn't even have to use top coat with this one, because it's so shiny! This is a great base for nail art, too. Shown above is two easy coats.

If you're looking for an eye searing color to rock on your nails this summer, look no further - Grass is Lime Greener is the color for you! I fell in love with this one instantly in the bottle, but it looks even better on the nails. It's one of those colors that instantly makes you look tan! Shown above is three thin coats with top coat. This is one of those polishes with a slightly matte finish, so top coat is a must.

Metro Pollen-tin is a orangey yellow that's really in style this season. I think this color is perfect for nail art - I'm not sure I can rock this color alone, but it'd look great on you ladies with a darker skin tone than mine! Shown above is three thin coats with top coat.

Disclaimer - this photo is not color accurate at all! Thistle Do Nicely is a stunning neon coral pink, much more neon and coral than this photo shows, but the trouble with neons is that they are pretty much impossibly to photograph. It's the perfect summer color, especially for toes. Shown above is three thin coats with top coat.

Strike a Rose is a gorgeous rosy pink color with just the faintest hint of shimmer. I wasn't expecting to love this one, but on my nails it just looked so beautiful and I think it matches my skin tone so nicely. The formula was slightly thick but easy enough to work with. Shown above is three coats and top coat - you could probably reach opacity in two, but I wasn't careful with application.

And finally we have Don't Honk Your Thorn, an almost satin-y beige nude with a hint of shimmer. It had the same formula as Strike a Rose, and again, I found that three coats hit opacity but you could probably get away with two. This is the perfect work-appropriate nude, and nudes are so in season!

Overall, I'm loving these colors. All 12 of the polishes in this collection really impressed me, and inspired me to do a ton of nail art! Again, I know some people complained about the formulas but I didn't find that they were especially difficult to work with. Just be patient and remember to use top coat! Top picks with this half of the collection are Grass is Lime Greener, Thistle Do Nicely, and Strike a Rose. What are your favorites?

You can get these six polishes in a set from HB Beauty Bar for $23.70 USD here, or individually here for $3.95 USD per bottle. And don't forget, you can use the code POLISHCHALLENGE at checkout for 15% off your entire order!
