More Tape! Zipper Nail Art

I just can't get enough of these awesome craft scissors! I decided to try the "Zipper" scissor for today's nail art.

I started with a base of Essie The Girls Are Out from their Naughty Nautical collection, and I taped off sections to paint over with OPI Nein! Nein! Nein! OK Fine! and a little strip of Essie Licorice as an accent on the middle finger. This design didn't translate as well on the nail as I though - next time, I will make thinner strips of tape!

I mattified the manicure to see what it looked like, and I think I like it better matte! I especially like the way that The Girls Are Out looks like this.

But let me quickly show you a swatch of The Girls Are Out alone. It's a gorgeous bright fuschia with irridescent silver flecks in it. Shown above is two coats.
