Guest Post for Reinovate!

Hi guys, today I am guest posting over on Reinovate's blog - I've got this fun skittle featuring the advanced stamping technique!

For details, polishes used, and more photos, read the blog post here.

If you don't already follow Reinovate, you absolutely must - not only is she a pro at stamping, but her nails are immaculate and she was the first person to pose with the nail polish bottles in the background! A true pioneer, if you ask me ;) Plus, her Instagram posts are hilarious.

Thanks for stopping by!

Chevron Skittle Nail Art with KBShimmer

Today's manicure is another simple skittle nail art look - I know, I know. But they're so easy to create and they look amazing! I've just been swamped with real-life projects and I haven't had any prolonged amount of time to spend on doing my nails. But this combo in particular is so cute, you're gonna love it:

To achieve this look, I started with a base of China Glaze At Vase Value on my outer two nails, OPI Alpine Snow on my middle nail, and KBShimmer Eclipse on my ring finger. Then, I topped the outer two nails with KBShimmer Grayscale and made China Glaze At Vase Value chevrons with KBShimmer nail vinyl decals. I topped it all off with KBShimmer Clearly on Top quick dry top coat.

Isn't this color combination too cute? I am a huge fan of throwing in one color with black and white (as you can tell from my last skittle manicure! I only just now realized that I did the same black nail and basic manicure scheme, haha!) This was also my first time using the KBShimmer Grayscale glitter topper, and I'm already in love. Just one coat, and so easy to paint on. The formula isn't thick or anything, but you can easily push around the glitters to wherever you want them. Plus, I love the inclusion of gray glitters!

The nail vinyl decals were fairly easy to use as well, but these particular chevrons were a bit too big for my nail, so they ended up looking like single chevrons. Still, I think they look nice!

Here are the polishes I used.

Some products provided for my honest review.

A Simple Gradient Skittle Manicure

I've been having so much fun pairing my polishes lately, and I've made a couple skittle ombre/gradient manicures to show it!

But man it's awkward to take photos of them! I have (from thumb to pinky): Essie Bottle Service, Essie Big Spender, Essie No More Film, Essie Butler Please, and Sinful Colors Sail La Vie.

I think these colors all look great together! What an easy but pretty manicure to make!

Do you like skittle manicures? What do you think of this one?

Skittles For Audrey (China Glaze)

Hey everyone! I know I am a horrible person for not blogging for so long, but work and classes have been SO overwhelming that I hadn't painted my nails in almost a week - but I finally decided I need to do it.

I decided to go for a skittles manicure using China Glaze For Audrey, OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls, and Sinful Colors Heavy Metal.

Gosh I miss doing this!

I know this is terrible but due to the huge hurricane that's going on in New Jersey/New York, I am going to be able to paint my nails for the next few days so I can schedule posts for you guys (don't hate me!!)

Have a good one!

Happy Fourth of July Nails!

So! Monday was my 21st birthday! I was going to paint something special on my nails but I decided to just go for holographic because I knew they would get messed up anyway O:)

Anyway, happy Fourth of July!

Today's manicure is (obviously) inspired by Independence Day - I decided to go for a bit of a skittle manicure. My thumb which I could NOT get a good photo of, was blue with silver fireworks. The pointer finger is a red white and blue water marble, my middle finger is a simple blue, my ring finger is red and blue fireworks over white, and my pinkie nail is red with red glitter top coat!

I used American Apparel for the blue and Confetti for red, but I forget the names of them, and the white was ORLY French Tips. The red glitter was some nameless polish I bought a while ago in PacSun.

Here you can faintly see my thumb! I also added some glitter to make it different.

Hope you all get to see some fireworks tonight ;)
