SOME PRODUCTS PROVIDED FOR MY HONEST REVIEW
The reason I say this collection is unique, is because these colors feel different than your average spring collection, in my opinion. Of course we have the soft pink and baby blue cremes, but there's also some darker shades, as well as a gorgeous gray! Formulas were (of course) fabulous, and application was a breeze.
Under the Sea is a gorgeous dark teal with a strong turquoise shimmer. See what I mean about being unique for the season? I would normally wear this shade in the fall, but somehow it works nicely for warmer weather, in that it reminds me of a lake or lagoon. It actually has a really interesting semi-matte finish, but I prefer it glossy. Shown above is three easy coats with top coat!
Heaven Sent is a beautiful pale blue creme. I think I'm obsessed! This is definitely a classic spring shade. Shown above is two ridiculously easy coats with top coat.
Gray Sky is a soft gray with a light shimmer. Another totally interesting take on a spring shade! I found this one to be a bit thick but self levelling, and with the shimmer, it was brushstrokey - but the brushstrokes seemed to disappear once the polish dried. Despite being slightly more difficult to apply, I think this one is my favorite of the bunch. Somehow it looks like it has a warm undertone, and I am just obsessed with how it looks against my skin tone! Shown above is three coats with top coat.
Pink Parasol is a perfect pink creme! Again, a totally classic shade, not only for spring but for any time of year! I loved the formula on this one - two easy coats with top coat in the above photo!
And finally, we have Champagne Bubbles, a caramel brown creme. I can't decide how I feel about this color - when I saw swatches of it, I thought of it as an orange shade, which I didn't like at all, but once I applied it on myself I saw the caramel/toffee color and found myself really liking it! I think the color of this shade really depends on your skin tone. The formula on this polish was super sheer and milky, almost - shown above is four thin coats with top coat, but because the formula was so thin, it didn't feel thick at all on my nails, it felt like one or two coats.
Overall, I am liking the colors of this collection, although I wish the formulas were more consistent. The two lighter cremes had wonderful formulas, but the other shades are really so pretty. They're available for purchase from Barielle as a set for $25 USD.

Oh baby these are pretty! The Teal reminds me of a Bonita polish, I think it's called Starry Night. I've never tried Barielle, I keep seeing them and they're tempting me lol
ReplyDeleteBeautiful collection! I love Pink parasol and Heaven Sent <3
ReplyDeleteAll of them are gorgeous! :D Does "Under the Sea" stain? I looove deep teals like that but I always have trouble with them staining.
ReplyDeleteI only wore UTS for a day but I didn't have any staining issues! I always double up on base coat if I think a polish is going to stain :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!!
ReplyDeleteIt's nice that less expensive brands have such beautiful colors! I haven't tried Bonita polishes but I am pretty much in love with Barielle! You should they them out :)
