Live Love Polish: Color Club Halo Hues 2012 Swatches

Hi all, today I have an older collection to share with you from Color Club - the first Halo Hues Collection was actually released way back in 2012, but the polishes are coveted by the nail polish community. And international retailer Live Love Polish now has these in stock (as well as the 2013 holographic shades, which I will be reviewing soon!) Read on to see my swatches and for a discount code!!

These six shades are definitely packed with holographic shimmer, so if you're a holo lover, you absolutely need them. I've heard that the Halo Hues are great for stamping - I'll have to test that theory soon, but I wouldn't doubt it because they all have a really nice opacity in the first coat. Anyway, let's take a look at them individually:

Halo-graphic is a soft pink linear holographic polish. Seriously, what a stunning shade! All of my photos are in indirect light - so you can imagine how much more holographic these are in direct light. Shown above is two easy coats with top coat.

Cloud Nine is a pale lavender linear holographic polish. In the bottle, this one seemed quite similar to Halo-graphic but on the nail it was much lighter and more purple toned. Another beautiful shade. Shown above is two easy coats with top coat.

Cherubic is a champagne gold linear holographic polish. This one is actually pretty unique to my collection, since the color falls somewhere between a gold and silver base. I love it! It has a very classy feel to it.

Harp On It is a classic silver linear holographic polish. If you're new to holographic polishes, this is the shade for you! Holographic pigment seems to be most prominent in silver polishes, and this shade is no exception. It is so completely sparkly! Shown above is two easy coats with top coat.

Blue Heaven is a pale blue linear holographic polish. This one is similar to its silver sister, but the pale blue tint is just so pretty and delicate. Shown above is two easy coats with top coat.

Finally, we have Angel Kiss, a seafoam green linear holographic polish. Another beautiful color! This is definitely the polish I would rock if I was a mermaid, haha! Shown above is two easy coats with top coat.

Overall - if you're a holo lover, you need this collection. If you're not a holo lover, you need this collection and you'll be converted forever! I can definitely see myself using these polishes for a ton of nail art. I can't choose any favorites - I really like them all so much, and they look so pretty together too.

These polishes are available from Live Love Polish for $10 USD each. A frequent question that has been asked is, why pay more at Live Love Polish when you can buy them cheaper from sites like eBay? Well, you'll find that even though polishes can be cheaper elsewhere, they suffer in quality - most often, these "cheaper" options you find online are defective, stolen, fake, or expired polish! (This doesn't just apply to brands like Color Club, but a ton of other mainstream brands as well! Heavy discounts do come at a price - you really don't know what you're going to get from an unauthorized seller.) So if you want to be safe, your best bet is to purchase from an authorized retailer like Live Love Polish. Plus, you can buy a ton of other brands from them, AND you can use the code INEEDMORENAILPOLISH at checkout for 10% off your entire order!

What do you think of these shades? Are you a holo fanatic?

  2. Great swatches of these! I really love the Color Club holos (Angel Kiss is my favorite of these, but I think I like some of the 2013 ones even better!). They stamp pretty well too, which is always a plus!
