Winstonia Summer Grab Bag: Review and Nail Art

Hi guys! Today I've got a review for you from Winstonia Store - every month, they release an awesome grab bag filled with goodies for just ten dollars, and I've got the Summer 2014 grab bag to show you all. (And, I've got a discount code for you at the bottom of this post!)

This grab bag contains two sets of nail wraps, a dotting tool/nail art brush combo, a nail file, and a pack of orangewood sticks, all in a cute little blue makeup bag. This was my first time trying Winstonia brand nail wraps, and I was quite impressed with the results! Here are the two designs:

This leopard print nail sticker is awesome! The wraps themselves were totally easy to use and stuck easier than any other brand I've tried so far, and the design is adorable. No base coat or top coat was necessary for this design, I just peeled the stickers off their backing and stretched them onto my nails.

I also got this abstract watercolor design. Like the other design, these wraps were super easy to use and stuck to my nail well, and the pattern is eye catching.

I was most excited about the dotting tool/nail art brush combo, so I had to try out some nail art with it:

I decided to go with a Nailasaurus inspired waterfall design. I started with a base of KBShimmer My Life's Porpoise, and with my Winstonia nail art brush, I striped on OPI Alpine Snow, China Glaze Lotus Begin, China Glaze Dance Baby, and China Glaze At Vase Value.

This brush is a bit thicker than a small detailing brush, so my lines came out bolder, but I love the effect. The brush would be great for filling in details for a tape manicure, and the dotting tool side is easy to use. I've got more nail art designs planned using this tool, and I think it's a great one to have.

I didn't end up taking a "group photo" of all the polishes I used for this manicure, because a couple of my bottles have nail polish splatters on them, haha! Hope this visual is enough for you.

As I mentioned, the grab bag also comes with a ton of orangewood sticks, which are great for placing glitter, pushing back your cuticles, and so much more. I think this is enough to last me a lifetime! There is a nail file in the grab bag as well, which made filing off the excess bits of the nail wraps super easy.

Overall, I think this bag is a great deal, and you're getting much more than you pay for. I would pay at least five dollars for that dotting tool/nail art brush alone! You can "grab" this grab bag at the Winstonia store for $10 USD. And, the team over at Winstonia generously created a discount code for my readers - use the code NPCSUMGB at checkout to get $1 off your grab bag! This code is valid through June 30th.

What do you think of this grab bag?
