HB Beauty Bar: China Glaze City Flourish Swatches Part 1, Peonies & Park Ave

Hey guys! I know by now you've all noticed that I'm a little obsessed with the China Glaze City Flourish collection I got from HB Beauty Bar recently, but I finally have swatches of the first half of the collection to show you today. This half, called "Peonies & Park Ave", features six gorgeous cream polishes that just scream spring.

So here's me trying something a little new - I decided to make a collage of the swatches for you guys! Do you like that in the beginning of a blog post? If you do, let me know and I can do it for all my swatches :) Anyway, let's get started:

First we have At Vase Value, a creamy pastel turquoise blue. This is similar to a few very popular China Glaze colors, but it's definitely much paler (yet somehow brighter?) Anyway, shown above is three coats. The formula requires some patience, but I obviously love it, I think I've used it in almost every manicure I posted since I got these polishes, haha!

Next is Lotus Begin, my definite favorite of the bunch. It's a pastel neon blue leaning lavender, and I think it looks incredible with my skintone! Again, formula was slightly tough, but nothing a bit of top coat can't fix. Shown above is three coats, but I probably could have done two if I was patient.

In A Lily Bit is a pale pinky lavender cream. I definitely thought it would be more purple when I saw it in the bottle, but looking at it now, it does look like a pale pink! But I love it anyway, it's perfect for spring. Again, formula required patience. Shown above is three coats.

Spring in My Step is a pale peachy pink cream with just a hint of neon. I love this one! It's great for making me look slightly tanner than I am ;) Another perfect spring cream. Shown above is three careful coats.

Petal to the Metal is an impossible to photograph neon coral polish. It's definitely more coral (and more neon) than my photo shows, but these types of polishes are always difficult! This formula felt slightly thicker and more jelly-like than the others in the collection, so it only took two coats for full opacity.

And last but definitely not least, we have the namesake of this half of the collection, Peonies & Park Ave, which is a cool leaning hot pink neon cream. This polish also had a slightly jellylike consistency, and took three easy coats to reach opacity. This color looks perfect for summer to me!

Overall, I am (unsurprisingly) in love with every single color in this collection. A lot of people are complaining that the formulas are difficult to work with, but I think the payoff for these beautiful colors is more than worth it. All of them were a bit chalky and dried to a slightly matte finish, so top coat is a must. I recommend them all, haha!

You can get these six polishes in a set from HB Beauty Bar for $23.70 USD here, or individually here for $3.95 USD per bottle. And don't forget, you can use the code POLISHCHALLENGE at checkout for 15% off your entire order!

What do you think? Which of these polishes is your favorite?

These polishes were provided for my honest review.

  2. Beeeautiful! And yes I love the collage before! I say do it if it isn't too time consuming. It's nice to see them all together like that. Can't wait to see the second half of the collection. Amazing swatches as always!
