Today I'm going to show you the first half of the collection, which consists of eight cream polishes in beautiful spring colors. This is the first time KBShimmer has made cream polishes, and wow am I impressed with the formulas! If you handed me an unlabeled bottle of one of these polishes and told me it was OPI, I wouldn't bat an eyelash - they're creamy and self levelling, and they've got great shine. But I'll let the photos do the talking! Let's get started:
Sky Jinks is a gorgeous blue cream with just a hint of dustiness. I love this color, and it's totally appropriate for spring. I can see myself using this color for a ton of nail art! I don't have any colors similar to this in my collection. Shown above is two coats, followed with KBShimmer Clearly on Top Quick Dry top coat.
My Life's Porpoise is a perfect medium gray cream with a slightly bluish hue. I love a good gray polish, and I am pleasantly surprised to report that this one has an amazing formula! Usually light colors like this give me trouble, but just two coats gave me perfect coverage, followed with KBShimmer Clearly on Top Quick Dry top coat.
This is Honeydew List, and it's a dusty light green cream. This color is perfect for spring, and even though I don't often wear green on my nails, I found myself really loving this against my skin tone! Shown above is two coats, followed with KBShimmer Clearly on Top Quick Dry top coat.
I have been so excited about wearing Pansy-Monium, and it didn't disappoint! This gorgeous bright purple cream looks almost neon, it's so rich! But the formula was perfect and self leveling, making it easy to apply and gorgeous to wear. Shown above is two coats, followed with KBShimmer Clearly on Top Quick Dry top coat.
Chick Me Out is a warm golden yellow cream that reminds me of a warm sunny day. Yellows often give me trouble with application, but I had an easy time with this polish! Shown above is three thin coats, followed with KBShimmer Clearly on Top Quick Dry top coat.
Life Rose On is a perfect fuchsia pink cream! This polish is a one coater (although I used two in the swatch above for the sake of consistency, followed with KBShimmer Clearly on Top Quick Dry top coat.) I couldn't believe my eyes when I applied it - I am in love!
A Touch Of Glass is a dusty mint polish with a hint of shimmer, thats just barely visible if you look super close. This polish really does look like sea glass, and it's gorgeous. I imagine it'll be perfect for summers at the beach. Shown above is three thin coats, followed with KBShimmer Clearly on Top Quick Dry top coat.
And finally we have Eclipse, a classic black cream. As soon as I applied this polish, I knew it would be my go-to black from now on. I love how glossy it looks, even without top coat, and how it self levels with application. Shown above is three thin coats (but it's opaque in two!), followed with KBShimmer Clearly on Top Quick Dry top coat.
Overall, I am stunned! KBShimmer makes flawless formulas when it comes to their glitter and crelly polishes, but I didn't expect such wonderful formulas with these new cream polishes. All I can say is, please make more!! I look forward to trying these for nail art and maybe even a water marble in the future!
All of these polishes will be released on March 14th, as well as the glitter half of the collection. The creams will retail for $7.50 USD per bottle, which you will be able to purchase on the KBShimmer online shop. Don't forget to follow KBShimmer on Facebook and Instagram for news and updates.
And of course, you can find my Instagram page here, where I will also be posting all of my swatches!
