Anyway, Emily has been going through a rough time lately so a bunch of bloggers (and friends) decided that we would recreate our favorite of her manicures as a way of showing her how much we love and support her! I decided to recreate her gorgeous teal chevron manicure, but with my own color scheme (which happens to match her blog layout!):
To get this look, I started with OPI Put a Coat On! on my outer two nails, KBShimmer PT Young Thing on my middle nail, and China Glaze Lotus Begin on my ring finger. On my outer nails, I used KBShimmer nail vinyl decals to make chevrons with China Glaze Lotus Begin and OPI Miss You-Niverse. It was difficult to get the chevrons straight, so I ended up fixing a lot of it with a nail art brush. On my ring finger, I dotted on PT Young Thing.
I really love this color scheme, but I think that the chevrons ended up being a tad sloppy. It's harder than I thought to do two-toned chevrons!
I really love the way Emily created this look. I wish I could have created one of her more recent manicures, but she does such complex line work that I couldn't attempt in my dreams! Haha.
Here are the polishes I used.
If you aren't already, make sure you follow Very Emily on her blog and Instagram! She is incredibly sweet and talented. Emily, don't forget that there are so many people who love you and are here for you, during good times and bad. I hope these manicure recreations bring a smile to your face :)
What do you think of this manicure?
