Half Moon Leopard Print Nail Art

Today's nail art look was inspired by a coworker's outfit. I loved the pairing of nude leopard print with soft pink cream, so I decided I had to recreate it on my nails!

I started with Essie Cocktails & Coconuts as a base. Then, I used a small nail art brush to make half moons using Essie Romper Room. With a toothpick and Essie Licorice, I made leopard print. And then I topped it all off with a thin stripe of OPI It's Frosty Outside on the half moon.

I couldn't decide at first if I liked the way this manicure turned out, but I think I like it. I know I could use a lot of practice making half moons - these weren't very even!

I think this was the first time I used a toothpick for nail art, though. And I loved the precision and control I had with it! I will definitely be using toothpicks for nail art in the future.

Here is a bottle shot of the polishes I used. Yes, the OPI is a textured polish, but just a thin line of it paired with topcoat turned out pretty smooth ;) I got most of these colors from HB Beauty Bar (get 15% off with coupon code POLISHCHALLENGE!).

What do you think of this nail art?

  4. I love the design and the pink you used, just the nude is a tad too brownish for me I think. Other than that, amazing manicure!
