ALIQUID Lacquer Summer of George Collection Swatches + Review

- PRESS SAMPLE -

Hey guys! I'm very excited to share today's swatches with you - I've got the latest collection from ALIQUID Lacquer, inspired by one of my favorite television shows, Seinfeld! The collection is called the "Summer of George" collection and it consists of six gorgeous shades, including four crellies, one glitter packed jelly, and one glitter topper that can build to full coverage. The creator of this brand, Alison, was kind enough to send over some YouTube clips citing the inspiration of these polish names, so I've linked them with the individual shades below!

Here is the full collection. I love the range of colors here! This was my first experience with ALIQUID Lacquer and I have to say, I am pretty impressed. The formulas were really easy to use and none of the glitters required any fishing at all. I also love the adorable label! Anyway, let's get into it:

Close Talker is a clear glitter topper packed with hot pink holographic and black matte glitters in various shapes and sizes. I especially love the square glitters in this one! It builds to full coverage in 2-3 coats, but I decided to layer one (!) coat over Floss Gloss 95% Angel in the photo above, with top coat.

Here is a close up in the bottle and on the nail. This is definitely a perfect summer glitter!

Next we have Yada Yada Yada, described as a bleached tangerine neon crelly with neon pink glitter. I love this unique take on the bleached neon trend for this summer! The polish is a bit lighter and brighter in real life than in my photo - I think my bottle shot below shows the color more accurately than the color showing in my swatch photo. Shown above is three easy coats with top coat.

Here is the Seinfeld YouTube clip for this shade. (This is probably one of my favorite Seinfeld moments ever - Elaine is hilarious!)

Here is a close up in the bottle and on the nail. As I mentioned, I think the color is more accurate in the bottle shot here!

Next up we have Urban Sombrero, a beige crelly packed with teal, blue, copper, and brown glitters in various sizes. This one is actually my favorite in the collection - it reminds me of sand and the color combination is just so pretty! Shown above is two easy coats with top coat.

Here is a close up in the bottle and on the nail. Even though this one features some larger glitters, it required no fishing or dabbing at all!

Next up is Hipster Doofus, a minty green crelly filled with purple, magenta, and silver holographic glitters in various shapes and sizes. This is another unique take on the popular minty color we usually see this time of year, and I love it! Shown above is three easy coats with top coat.

Serenity Now, Insanity Later is a dark gray crelly filled with neon yellow, fuchsia, and blue microglitters, as well as holographic sparkle. I absolutely love this one! It reminds me of a nightclub, because even though the base is dark, the glitters are so bright! This one is definitely opaque in two coats, but I've painted three coats with top coat above to get the maximum glitter payoff.

Here is a close up of the bottle and the nail. I am really impressed that the gray base doesn't cover up the bright glitters!

Last but definitely not least, we have Vandelay Industries, is a rich purple jelly filled with purple holographic glitters in various shapes and sizes, as well as holographic shimmer. This one isn't your typical summer color, but it's so rich and bright for any time of year! Shown above is two easy coats with top coat.

Overall, I have to say I'm really impressed with this entire collection! Even if you aren't a fan of Seinfeld, these polishes appeal to a wide audience because they're so varied. My absolute favorites are Urban Sombrero and Vandelay Industries, but I really do love them all.

These shades are available on the ALIQUID Lacquer online shop for $10-11 USD for a full sized bottle, and $4.50-5 USD for a 5mL mini bottle. Make sure to follow them on Facebook and Instagram for updates and restock information.
