Glam Polish Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend Collection: Swatches & Review

Hello readers! I am very excited to share with you today's post. When most people think of Australia, they might think of a number of things: kiwis, beaches, the famous Sydney Opera House... the list goes on. But when I think of Australia, only one thing comes to mind: nail polish. That's right, in the nail world, (or at least to in my opinion), Aussies are known for making the most beautiful independent nail polishes ever! And I finally got a chance to try out my very first Australian indie nail polish - Glam Polish, a brand known for their stunning sparkly combinations of color and glitter.

This collection is just what I expected from an Aussie brand - beautiful colors, incredible formula, and just the right amount of holo glitter. Today I will be reviewing a new collection inspired by Marilyn Monroe, called Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend. It features six colorful shimmery polishes with a scattered holographic sparkle.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to capture much of the scattered holographic shimmer, so my photos don't do these polishes justice. You'll just have to trust me that these colors are more gorgeous in person!

Incurably Romantic is a red leaning pink with a purple shimmer and tons of holographic sparkle. I'm not normally a fan of reddish pinks, but I couldn't stop staring at this beauty! Shown above is two easy coats and top coat.

I'm Through With Love is a warm toned purple shimmer with lots of scattered holographic sparkle. Another gorgeous polish, this one really catches the light! Shown above is two coats with top coat.

Runnin' Wild is a cool toned purple shimmer with tons of scattered holographic sparkle. In the bottle, I thought this one looked super similar to I'm Through With Love, but on the nails, they look completely different, This one has a distinctly cooler tone and lots of purple shimmer. Shown above is two coats with top coat.

Bye Bye Baby is a turquoise blue shimmer with scattered holographic sparkles. Can we talk about how stunning this color is? I think I could wear it all summer! Shown above is two coats and top coat.

I Found A Dream is a bright summery green packed with yellow and green shimmer and scattered holographic sparkles. This color reminds me of lush green grass, and I totally love it. Shown above is two coats and top coat.

I've saved the best for last - That Old Black Magic is an absolutely stunning black shimmer packed with holographic sparkle. Even my camera couldn't resist the glitter in this one! This polish caught the light beautifully and it looks so awesome on the nail! Shown above is two coats and top coat.

I have to say, I am really impressed with these formulas. Shimmer polishes can be difficult to work with, but these applied with ease and reached full opacity in just two coats. All the polishes dry to a slightly gritty finish, so top coat is a must if you want to get that beautiful shine. And don't get me started on these colors, they are just perfect! I love the scattered holographic effect, they really do sparkle like diamonds. ;)

The Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend Collection is available (starting today!) directly from Glam Polish via their online shop - you can purchase the entire collection for $51.95 USD, or buy the bottles individually for $10.95 USD each. For those of you who do not live in Australia, Glam Polish is available from many international stockists.
